Mountain Line - fixed route service in Flagstaff

After a successful inaugural run last year, Mountain Line buses will once again be rolling through town past midnight to offer Flagstaff residents and visitors a safe and reliable New Year’s Eve transportation option. As an added bonus, service will be FREE on all routes, all day long. (view .pdf version )

“We were pleased to be part of the New Year’s Eve transportation and parking solution last year, and due to the overwhelmingly positive response, NAIPTA is excited to once again offer extended service hours,” said NAIPTA CEO & General Manager Jeff Meilbeck. “In order to remove any potential barriers to ridership and thank our riders for another wonderful year, we are making service free on all routes, all day long.”

Mountain Lift paratransit clients can also take advantage of the same extended hours, but must book their trips as normal through the Dispatch Office.

Regular weekday service typically ends around 10 p.m., and that will be extended on New Year’s Eve to accommodate those attending the annual Pine Cone Drop event and other celebrations throughout town. All routes will run peak service as follows:

  • Those planning to use Mountain Line for their New Year’s Eve transportation are encouraged to call the NAIPTA offices at 928.779-6624 during regular business hours prior to the holiday to receive trip planning assistance or use he Google Transit Trip Planner.
